The club helps its members to practice their drawing and painting skills, and helps them shaping their own styles at a pace that suits the individual. We are here to share knowledge and provide opportunities to learn from each other, over a cup of tea (and the occasional biscuit).
Our members are encouraged to help each other to grow and develop, and we sincerely believe everyone has something to offer, be they complete novice or professional artist.
Membership is free and you only pay for the sessions you attend, we would love regular attendance but understand that other commitments do not always make this possible. We usually meet during school term time on Monday evenings, 7pm to 9pm at St John's church hall, Purbrook. Note that we are a non-profit organisation and we only charge a minimal fee to cover the costs of the facilities. If funds allow then we occasionally bring in a guest artist for a talk about specific skills or techniques. We do have a supply of materials to loan out if you want to try out a new medium before going to the expense of buying.
Please note that the club is for adults (18+) only, our insurance does not allow for children to attend at this time.
Browse our website for further details and examples of some of our members' artwork. If you have any questions we would love to hear from you, but please note it may take a day or two to answer emails (work and other commitments allowing).
